Craig Schlewitz

The first artist I have chosen to look at is Craig Schlewitz; the quality of this photographers work inspires me to use fashion and nature in my work. I also like the photographers style due to it being unusual and more casual compared to the type of work I want to create and the photographers I have been looking at for future work. I believe this artist has an interest in photography exploring using light and nature throughout his work. Schlewitz also uses Photoshop tutorials in his work to create some interesting images using overlay and different lighting effects to make his work interesting and portray to the audience the main focus in his work. This artist's work likes the idea of creating a lot of detail throughout his photo-shoots using pastel colours and black and white mainly throughout his work then using Photoshop to enhance his work and show the overall outcome he was wanting for each individual image to make his work interesting and enthusiastic. The colours in all of this photographers work compliment each other and show that this artist has a style that makes him unique and stand out. Schlewitz does not use a high level of makeup on his models to make his images more natural and he uses a soft focus to bring this light and smooth feel towards his photos. In some of this artists work he uses overlay in Photoshop to create a different outcome to the rest of his work to show a difference and a vary of interest and ideas throughout this photographers ideas. In my future work I would like to interpretate this artists work by using nature and flowers within my work to create a more of a soft and subtle vibe in my portraiture. I will also create little makeup, I will experiment painting the face white and using a jazzy costume and hair to show a different outcome and subject to my work. I will also start experimenting using Photoshop tutorials within my work to show my ability and variety throughout my edited images.
