Laura Bello

 

The next artist I have researched is Laura Bello due to her unusual style of work and use of makeup and art in her portraits. I have decided to focus on this trend due to the link and combination within my theme and the artists. Bello has impressed my ideas and development within my work due to her variety of work she portrays within every piece. The artist has used exaggeration within their work due to the constant use of colour and props, which are shown within every individual piece. In every snapshot, there is a high quantity of time and development involved which has created the supremacy image that compliments the model and the subject of the image. In every shot I believe that the artist has used Photoshop to develop various effects and filters for each image, which has provided this photo that engages the reader and the audience. In particular images I think Bello has used tutorials within her work to create different outcomes such as portraying paint on the body of her model and using the blending tool following a video that informs her how to achieve different techniques and create outcomes she is wanting for her work. A variety of patterns and shapes have been used within all of Laura Bello's work to question the audience and engage them to find out and experiment with using different techniques and tutorials that can achieve a similar outcome to the artists work. I have different ideas on how these images have been taken and then developed into the final image they have achieved. Without exception the majority of Bello’s images has different angles and have been shot using different compositions such as including the hands and other props within her work that makes each piece different and stand out. This engages me within my work to try different props and body features that shows a variety within each successful image I chose to help them stand out and vary within my work. I will continue to use different lighting exposures and backgrounds to link the colours on my model or image with the backdrop of the piece. Strong focus is used within all of Laura Bello's pictures, which shows the audience who and what the focal point of the portrait is. When researching this artist i was sent a vibrant and engaging mood that encourages me to try different colours and moods that can give my gallery an interesting theme and unusual thought. I will alter the colours and vibrancy to continue on with my development and experimentation. In every piece I will engage more preparation for each individual shoot, which will be explained and planned through the 'Photo-shoot Planning' page. Overall Laura Bello has given me mass of inspiration and ideas for my future work, which will be shown in my next shoots that will be developed and experimented to the most imaginable.
