Laura Ferreira

 

The next artist I am going to look at is Laura Ferreira. Her work inspires me due to her strong ability using makeup and special effects. This artist includes lots of detail and precision throughout her photo-shoots, which makes them so pleasing to the eye and her audience. The lighting used throughout Ferreira's work is always different depending on the overall outcome wanting and the colour palette used in the shoot. The photographer concentrates on the shadows and the location of the shoot to link in with the makeup and costumes. This works effectively and this artist inspires me in all of its work and high quality of details. In my future work I would like to experiment creating images like this photographer using high concentration on the effects and details used throughout Ferreira's work. I would like to create a head and shoulder shoot using theatre makeup to make my work interesting and pleasing to the eye and towards my audience.  I will experiment more with Photoshop creating different techniques and outcomes that work well and compliment each individual image. For future reference, I will include more unusual compositions and shapes that can show development and thoughts from each shoot. I will also start including coloured gels within my work to create a different colour chart that will make my work more experimentation and eye catching to my audience. This will help my shoots stand out and show the difference and development from my thoughts as I look at different artists that have inspired me within my work. For my response to this artist I will include glitter and props within my work to show elegance and beauty that can be enhanced by using certain products and makeup within my work. I will produce images that show the link and combination between Laura Ferriera and Laura Bello's work.
